What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial is a biomedical research organized and practiced on humans for the development of biological or medical knowledge. Clinical trials of drugs are aimed, as appropriate, establish or verify certain data pharmacokinetic (terms of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of the drug), pharmacodynamic (mechanism drug action) and therapeutic (efficacy and tolerability) of a new drug or a new way of using a known treatment.
